Where It All Begins

Julian Cole from The Population is the reason this blog exists.

I had decided not to blog.  I just felt that it would be an unnecessary distraction.

Distraction and social media have a funny relationship.  It’s something @edwardharran and I talk about a lot.

The whole point of social media is interactivity.  But the biggest downside of interactivity is distraction.

And distraction is the number one reason why I don’t get things done.

In any case, I am getting started.  I didn’t know where to begin, so I remembered the old saying that when you’re stuck, write about what you know.

I’m going to give that a shot.
